وَقُلْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِه۪ لِبَن۪ٓي اِسْرَٓائ۪لَ اسْكُنُوا الْاَرْضَ فَاِذَا جَٓاءَ وَعْدُ الْاٰخِرَةِ جِئْنَا بِكُمْ لَف۪يفاًۜ
Translation
And We said after him [i.e., Pharaoh] to the Children of Israel, "Dwell in the land, and when there comes the promise [i.e., appointment] of the Hereafter, We will bring you forth in [one] gathering."

Arkasından da İsrailoğullarına: "O topraklarda oturun! Ahiret vaadi tahakkuk edince, hepinizi toplayıp bir araya getireceğiz." dedik.
Müellif 'min ba'dihi' terkibindeki 'hu' zamirinin Firavun'a döndürülmesini sorgular; bu okuma Benî İsrâîl'in Mısır'a yerleştiği sonucunu doğurur, oysa diğer kıssalarda onlar denizi geçtikten sonra Mısır'a dönmemiştir. Tefsirlerde 'el-ard' Mısır (Zemahşerî, Râzî, Kurtubî), Şam toprakları (Taberî), Şam-Mısır (Kurtubî) ya da belirsiz (M. Okuyan) olarak açıklanmıştır; müellife göre Taberî'nin yorumunun geçerliliği kelimenin ikinci kullanımda nekre gelmesine bağlıdır.
