وَاِذْ فَرَقْنَا بِكُمُ الْبَحْرَ فَاَنْجَيْنَاكُمْ وَاَغْرَقْـنَٓا اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَاَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ
Translation
And [recall] when We parted the sea for you and saved you and drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking on.

Müelliflere göre bu âyet, Firavun'un boğuluşunun İsrâiloğullarının gözü önünde gerçekleştiğini bildirir; ibretlik cezanın en çok onlar üzerinde etkili olması gerekir.
Firavunun uğradığı ceza sonrakiler için ibretlik olan bir cezadır ama bu ibretlik ceza en fazla olayı gözleriyle gören İsrailoğulları üzerinde etkili olmalıdır. Hiç kimse onların gördüğü bu dehşetli manzarayı görmemiştir.Go to source
